OCTOBER 29, 2020: ''Ekta Diwas Pledge'' Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow took part in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge administered through video conference by Hon’ble Minister of Railways at 17.00 hrs on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Shri Mukesh Nigam, Director General of the institute along with Dean, Faculty members and Staff participated in the event with full enthusiasm and took pledge to foster and preserve integrity and unity of India.

OCTOBER 08, 2020:
 
Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow took part in Jan Andolan Campaign on COVID-19 launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on Thursday, October 8, 2020. On this occasion, the COVID pledge was administered by Hon’ble Minister of Railways through Video Conferencing to all officers and staff of Indian Railways. Shri Mukesh Nigam, Director General of the institute along with Director, Dean, Faculty members and Staff took part in COVID pledge to make this Jan Andolan campaign a success.



OCTOBER 02, 2020: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti ''Swachhta Oath'' was taken by Faculty & Staff of IRITM. On this occasion “Shramdan” was doneby Faculty & Staff of IRITM .


SEPTEMBER 16-30, 2020: "
Swachhata Pakhwada"
           Swachhta Pakhwara celebrated at Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow from September 16 to 30, 2020. 
              
           Shri Mukesh Nigam, Director-General of the institute, administered the Swachhta pledge to faculty and staff to take forward the vision of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi to keep India Clean and Green.

Cleanliness drives were organized in the campus in order to clean administrative block, academic block, hostel, mess, sports complex, residences and open spaces of IRITM Campus to propagate and instigate the message of cleanliness among officers and staff. Faculty, staff and contractual staff of IRITM participated in Shramdan.

 

A special message “Wash your hands with soap and water frequently, clean frequently touched surfaces and objects” was also conveyed in view of fight against COVID 19. Posters related to cleanliness and Covid-19 precautions were displayed at all notice boards in the campus including entry gate of the Institute. Videos on “Prevention & Precautions to stop Spread of Corona Virus” and “Importance of Cleanliness” were played continuously on TV Screens installed at receptions and other activity centres. Swachhta messages were displayed on IRITM website. In addition, Awareness programmes/speeches were also organized to educate everyone about precautions related to Covid-19 and keeping campus clean and green. Sanitizer and facemasks were distributed to contractual staff to help them in fight against corona virus.

 

During this Swachhta Pakhwara, special focus was on discouraging the use of single-use plastic. Use of plastic bags, tobacco, gutkha, cigarette, beedi has been banned in the campus and a fine of Rs. 50/- is prescribed for the offenders.

June 21, 2020 : International Yoga Day has been celebrated at IRITM by Probationary officers with maintaining social distance.


February 28, 2020 :  A Monumental National Flag of India was hoisted by the Shri Naveen Jindal, President, Flag Foundation of India & Chairman, Jindal Steel in the campus of Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow on 28 February, 2020.

February 27-28, 2020 : Centre Disaster Management & Training society conducted free of cost training in “Awareness in Computer Concepts” for underprivileged children at IRITM under the skill development programme.After completion of first successful course Certificates to 18 underprivileged children were also distributedby Shri Navin Jindal President, Flag Foundation of India & Chairman, Jindal Steel on 28th February, 2020.



February 27-28, 2020 :  A two days National Seminar on ‘Indian Demography – Challenges’ was organized by Centre for Disaster Management and Training (CDMT) at Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow from 27th February to 28th February, 2020. Shri Shriprakash, Retd. Member Traffic, Shri Anshuman, Associate Director/Water Resources/TERI, Dr. Sanatan Nayak, Dr. Venkatesh Dutta, professors from Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and Dr. Neelam Singh, Secretary, Vatsalya NGO, expressed their views in the Seminar.
