November 24,2023: Smt. Jaya Varma Sinha, Hon'ble Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Railways visited Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow on Friday, 24th November 2023. Smt. Sinha also addressed the participants of 'Manthan' wherein the Sr DOMs from all divisions did brainstorming to come up with innovative ideas to solve the operational issues. She advised that the actionable points under nine themes be taken forward for implementation. Smt. Sinha released 7 books published by the institute and appreciated the hard work done by Team IRITM in the leadership of Shri Hari Shankar Verma, Director General/IRITM in preparing & publishing these books for IRMS Probationers and other trainee officers and Supervisors.

 

  

Oct 30, 2023: In order of Vigilance Awareness Week, the oath of integrity was administered to the faculty members, in service trainee officers, Safety Supervisors and staff by the Director General.



Sep 13-14, 2023: Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow, a Centralized Training Institute to impart training to Railway officers, has been accredited as ‘अति-उत्कृष्ट’ by Capacity Building Commission of India under National Standards for Civil Service Training Institute.

          Capacity Building Commission (CBC), under the leadership of Hnourable Prime Minister of India, is a custodian of civil services capacity building reforms.
Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), is a Centralized Training Institute under the Ministry of Indian Railways, Government of India was established in 1999 and imparts training to Railway officers and newly inducted Probationary officers selected through annual Civil Services Exams. The institute under the leadership of Director General Shri Hari Shankar Verma, has recently been mandated to impart training to officers of newly created ‘Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS)’.
This accreditation as ‘अति-उत्कृष्ट’ is another feather in the cap of the institute in addition to achieving a mile stone of training approximately 1 lakh railway employees under ‘Mission Rail Karmayogi’ training programme in 2022.
The institute was assessed by Capacity Building Commission of India through an onsite assessment carried out by 3-member team (including a retired IAS officer and a Professor from reputed Engineering College) of National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), a constituent Board of Quality Council of India on the following eight pillars of the standards : 

1. Training Needs Assessment and Course Design
2. Faculty
3.Resource and Training Targets
4.Trainee Support
5.Digitalization and Training Delivery
6.Collaboration with other Institutes
7.Training Evaluation and Quality Assurance, and
8.Operations

Dr. Sujeet Mishra, Sr. Professor (Capacity Building & Standardization, Electrical Engineering), Shri Rajesh Kumar, Sr. Professor (Administration), Ms. Krishna Tiwari, Professor (Administration) along with the core of team of Shri Pradeep Padalia, Shri Abhinesh Kumar Singh, Shri Vivek Kumar Pandey & Shri Kishor Mehta played the key role during the process of evaluation. The entire team of the IRITM put in their hard work and efforts to achieve this feat.

July 22, 2023: Valedictory function of IRTS 2019 (EOL) batch was organized at IRITM on 22/07/23. Member (O&BD), Railway Board graced the occasion. IRITM wishes the Officer Trainees all the very best for their future assignments.









July 11, 2023: DG, ADG, Faculty members of IRITM, along with IRTS (P)2019 batch, called on Hon'ble CM of UP Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji on 11/07/23. Hon' ble CM emphasized the importance of 'Samvad' for resolving disputes and encouraged young officers to work for all sections of the society.



June 21, 2023: Yoga Day was celebrated by Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow on the occasion of World Yoga Day. Director General, faculty members, serving officers and employees participated in the yoga exercise program.




June 05, 2023: World Environment Day Celebration at IRITM.

April 21, 2023: A safety meeting was held at IRITM on 21.04.2023, which was attended by safety officials and senior supervisors concerned with train operations. Director General (Safety)/Railway Board Shri B.M. Agarwal and CCRS Shri R.K. Sharma addressed the meeting. All PCSOs also joined the meeting through online mode.




FEBRUARY 20, 2023: Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management was awarded the first prize in various categories of Regional Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Exhibition, 2023. On this occasion, in the award distribution ceremony organized in the Raj Bhavan premises, the Additional Director General of the Institute was given the award by the Governor Mrs. Anandiben Patel.


FEBRUARY 13, 2023: Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon'ble Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT visited IRITM today. He addressed & interacted with IRTS Probationers, officers from RDSO, MCF, LKO & LJN divisions. GMs of NR, NER, MCF and DG/RDSO, were present on the occasion.


JANUARY 26, 2023:  74th Republic Day was Celebrated at IRITM. The National flag was unfurled by Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha, ADG/IRITM.



NOV 04, 2022: सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह के क्रम में आज दिनांक 04.11.2022 को "सतर्कता जागरूकता परिचर्चा" का आयोजन महानिदेशक (IRITM) महोदया जी की अध्यक्षता में संपन्न हुआ |

OCT 02, 2022: स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के तहत आज गांधी जी और लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जयंती के अवसर पर रंगमंच के पास श्रमदान करते हुए कर्मचारीगण व अधिकारीगण, इस अवसर पर रंगमंच में गांधी जी व शास्त्री जी की फोटो पर पुष्पांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कर्मचारीगण व अधिकारीगण।

July 13, 2022: A cultural evening was organised by Officer Trainees of 2019 and 2019 EOL batch on 13.07.22 on the eve of valedictory function of 2019 batch. The program reflected the rich cultural diversity of India. It included poetry, songs and dance attended by DG/IRITM & faculty and families.

May 20, 2022:The 10th and final batch of Master Trainers completed their five day training under Rail Karmayogi Shisht-ta Amrit Project, at IRITM.DG/IRITM, Smt Chandralekha Mukherjee and Member, PMEAC, Shri Sanjeev Sanyal, felicitated the Master Trainers on the occassion of their valediction.

August 15, 2021: celebrated at IRITM. 75th Independence DayThe Flag was hoisted by Sh. Praveen Pandey, Dean, IRITM. Awards for achievement in sports were distributed to Officer Trainees. Staff members were awarded for their exemplary work in various fields.August 14, 2021:India Day, a cultural event organized by IRTS probationers, was celebrated at IRITM on 14.08.2021. The Officers, dressed in their traditional regional attire, performed regional dances and participated in various competitions, such as rangoli competition.August 08, 2021:  'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' - To commemorate the QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT DAY on 8th August, 2021 ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, an online meet, was organised at IRITM. Officers and staff of IRITM participated in the meet and appreciated the importance of the movement in the freedom struggle of India.

Ekta Diwas Pledge'' Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow took part in Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge administered through video conference by Hon’ble Minister of Railways at 17.00 hrs on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Shri Mukesh Nigam, Director General of the institute along with Dean, Faculty members and Staff participated in the event with full enthusiasm and took pledge to foster and preserve integrity and unity of India.

OCTOBER 08, 2020:  Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow took part in Jan Andolan Campaign on COVID-19 launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on Thursday, October 8, 2020. On this occasion, the COVID pledge was administered by Hon’ble Minister of Railways through Video Conferencing to all officers and staff of Indian Railways. Shri Mukesh Nigam, Director General of the institute along with Director, Dean, Faculty members and Staff took part in COVID pledge to make this Jan Andolan campaign a success.

"Swachhata Pakhwada"
 Swachhta Pakhwara celebrated at Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM), Lucknow from September 16 to 30, 2020. 
                         Shri Mukesh Nigam, Director-General of the institute, administered the Swachhta pledge to faculty and staff to take forward the vision of Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi to keep India Clean and Green.
Cleanliness drives were organized in the campus in order to clean administrative block, academic block, hostel, mess, sports complex, residences and open spaces of IRITM Campus to propagate and instigate the message of cleanliness among officers and staff. Faculty, staff and contractual staff of IRITM participated in Shramdan.A special message “” was also conveyed in view of fight against COVID 19. Posters related to cleanliness and Covid-19 precautions were displayed at all notice boards in the campus including entry gate of the Institute. Videos on “Prevention & Precautions to stop Spread of Corona Virus” and “Importance of Cleanliness” were played continuously on TV Screens installed at receptions and other activity centres. Swachhta messages were displayed on IRITM website. In addition, Awareness programmes/speeches were also organized to educate everyone about precautions related to Covid-19 and keeping campus clean and green. Sanitizer and facemasks were distributed to contractual staff to help them in fight against corona virus.Wash your hands with soap and water frequently, clean frequently touched surfaces and objectsDuring this Swachhta Pakhwara, special focus was on discouraging the use of single-use plastic.   February 28, 2020 :A Monumental National Flag of India was hoisted by the Shri Naveen Jindal, President, Flag Foundation of India & Chairman, Jindal Steel in the campus of Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow on 28 February, 2020.

Centre Disaster Management & Training society conducted free of cost training in “Awareness in Computer Concepts” for underprivileged children February 27-28, 2020 :at IRITM under the skill development programme.After completion of first successful course Certificates to 18 underprivileged children were also distributedby Shri Navin Jindal President, Flag Foundation of India & Chairman, Jindal Steel on 28th February, 2020.

  February 27-28, 2020 :A two days National Seminar on ‘Indian Demography – Challenges’ was organized by Centre for Disaster Management and Training (CDMT) at Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow from 27th February to 28th February, 2020. Shri Shriprakash, Retd. Member Traffic, Shri Anshuman, Associate Director/Water Resources/TERI, Dr. Sanatan Nayak, Dr. Venkatesh Dutta, professors from Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and Dr. Neelam Singh, Secretary, Vatsalya NGO, expressed their views in the Seminar.
