Shri Sanjay Tripathi, ADG/IRITM, inaugurated the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) Centre at IRITM, which holds books on Vedic literature, Upanishads, Vedas and Upvedas for faculty, staff and trainee officers. All classrooms and buildings at the institute are named after Indian scholars to promote the IKS. Faculty and staff attended the inauguration in traditional attire.

IRITM, Lucknow — a Centralized Training Institute for Railway officers, established in 1999 under the Ministry of Indian Railways — was accredited ‘अति-उत्कृष्ट’ by the Capacity Building Commission of India under the National Standards for Civil Service Training Institutes. This came in addition to training approximately 1 lakh railway employees under the 'Mission Rail Karmayogi' programme in 2022. The institute was assessed by a 3-member NABET team across eight pillars: Training Needs Assessment & Course Design; Faculty; Resource and Training Targets; Trainee Support; Digitalization and Training Delivery; Collaboration with other Institutes; Training Evaluation and Quality Assurance; and Operations. Dr. Sujeet Mishra, Shri Rajesh Kumar, Ms. Krishna Tiwari and the core team (Shri Pradeep Padalia, Shri Abhinesh Kumar Singh, Shri Vivek Kumar Pandey & Shri Kishor Mehta) played a key role in the evaluation process.

Swachhata Pakhwada was celebrated at IRITM from September 16 to 30, 2020. DG Shri Mukesh Nigam administered the Swachhta pledge to faculty and staff. Cleanliness drives cleaned the administrative block, academic block, hostels, mess, sports complex, residences and open spaces, with Shramdan by faculty, staff and contractual staff. Posters on cleanliness and COVID-19 precautions were displayed campus-wide, and sanitizer/masks were distributed to contractual staff. Single-use plastic, tobacco, gutkha and smoking were banned in the campus, with a fine for offenders. Intensive cleaning drives were run block by block — ORH and overhead water tanks, the Officers' Mess and dining hall, the Sports Complex and Auditorium, the Old and New Hostels, and the Administrative and Teaching blocks.

Case-study presentations were awarded to three groups.
